The Society of joint responsibility is a long-term project that started in 2020 that was bound to fail from the very beginning. Our work consists of multimedia documentation of invisible research, invisible processes and mostly invisible site specific actions realized in different cities across Serbia, where we interacted with the local communities and dealt with burning sociopolitical topics.
What does the term art mean in commons, and vice versa?
Why should we contemplate the institution of the future? Is it possible to envision a future institution without focusing on repairing what has been damaged, but rather accepting the trauma and moving forward?
How can institutions become a public good? How can we transform them into sustainable systems for the production and exchange of knowledge, enabling us to comprehend ourselves and our reality, instead of merely adapting to and reproducing knowledge?
The exhibition titled "How to extinguish a fire with a spoonful of water?" held in Kula showcased the experiences of the Society of joint responsibility's working group. These experiences were derived from past practices, activities, and processes related to the institution of the future, (artistic communities), and self-organization.
